When? – The dates are: 23-Aug-24, 6-Sep-24, 13-Sep-24 and 27-Sep-24. You may ask why are they spread out? It’s so we miss other significant events in the Lindy Dance Calendar: Swing Central and Sydney Lindy Exchange (weekend of 30-Aug-24).
Party on 27-Sep-24 – Feel like having some nibbles or something to eat. Tonight, I’ll get the tables out and provide some snacks. Please bring your own to share. Sadly, the venue does not allow alcohol.
Where? – The dance is held in a hall at 181 Blues Point Road, North Sydney just moments away from North Sydney Station on the T1 line. There is parking available around the venue too.
19:15 Introduction Lessons – An introduction to Lindy Hop – a form of swing. You don’t need a partner nor do you need to attend all lessons (although it would be an advantage).
20:30 Social Dancing – Classic Lindy Hop music with some faster and slower tracks suitable for Balboa and Blues. If you have any particular tracks you’d like to hear, please let me know.
Cost – $20 for the Beginners’ Lesson and Social Dance. I strongly recommend you stay for the whole night – Lindy Hop dancers are welcoming and love introducing new people to the dance and it’s the quickest (and most fun) way to learn. $15 for just the Social Dance from 20:30.
